Two of the most common traumatic injuries that we treat are:
- Dislodged teeth: A tooth that has been pushed back in its socket. To repair teeth in this condition, our endodontist will reposition and stabilize your tooth. Root canals are often performed a few weeks after the injury occurs if the inner pulp needs to be repaired.
- Avulsed teeth: A tooth that is knocked completely out of its socket. Before visiting the doctor, try to put your tooth back in the socket. If that is not possible, keep your tooth moist by keeping it in your cheek or placing it in a glass of milk. Our doctor will help determine if a root canal is necessary and what type of treatment you will need.
